Car accident
Jul. 9th, 2008 08:11 amI drove all the way across the country only to get into an accident yesterday. I was at fault, kindof, but of all things, did almost no damage to the person in front of me while my car really suffered. I hit someone without insurance— which is illegal in Oregon. Moral dilemma! Non-native English speaker; not his car; if I did call the police, I would still be at fault, and he'd be in trouble.
What is making me almost crazier this morning is that I was going to take pictures to share and I can't find my digital camera. My room isn't that big. The last time I remember being absolutely positive I saw it was on top of my computer. I've searched everywhere. Where on earth would i have put it?
Off to the body shop for an estimate and then to decide whether or not to get my insurance involved, since it'll increase my payments for sure. Thankfully no-one was hurt; the guy in front of me has stopped after turning left at a major intersection because some idiots were playing football in a 7-11 parking lot and the ball and/or person was running out. I glanced over and saw it; then when I turned back to my lane the guy in front of me was at a dead stop. The impact wasn't enough for my air bags to go off, but it really banged up the hood of my car.

Car troubles and a missing camera. I'm trying not to obsess and think that Portland doesn't want me here. I suppose there's always Alaska. More later.
