Title: Crown of Rope
Pairing: Ron/Draco
Word Count: 40,500
Rating: NC-17
Warnings/kinks: rope bondage/shibari
DH-compiant, EWE genre
Summary: Weeks after the end of the War, Draco was confronted with an attraction to a person that defied all reason, and he fled— to Japan. Three years later, he discovers the appeal was and is mutual, but nothing comes easily between a Malfoy and a Weasley. R/D, DH-compliant ignoring the epilogue. Written in part for the Fire + Ice Deathly Hallows epilogue challenge.
A/N: The creative kernels for this fic came from two discrete sources; the song "I Scare Myself" by Thomas Dolby and a NWS image provided by the always-inspiring
liriaen, who gifted the picture to go along with a couple of her drabbles at
rondracodrabble. There are lots of resources on shibari out there, and I've looked at many of them, but it was this picture that gave me the initial springboard. My exceeding thanks to
mrsquizzical for the beta/insight and to
callumjames for the Britpick and thoughtful perspective. My gratitude also to
stuckinsea and
sexyscholar for letting me send them some snippets along the way. Their enthusiasm gave me permission for this story to be a bit longer than I'd initially anticipated. Cross-posted to the R/D comms I enjoy.
And because I enjoy giving gifts, here are another couple of songs that were inspiring as I wrote this. "Give it Up" by 8mm, which I didn't know until
sexyscholar put it on her R/D mix, "Feels Like It Should," and the entire "Kundun" soundtrack by Philip Glass. Here are two selections, "Lhasa at Night" and "Norbu Plays". I'm a huge Philip Glass fan from the late 80s. :)

At the end of July, my dear friend Callum James wrote me this in an email as a fic prompt/idea:
Well, I instead wrote 4 vignettes rather than 5, and they're longer than 250 words. The other requirements are still there, which made for interesting development along the way. So without further ado, here 'tis.
Title: This Submerged Sense of Wonder
Pairing: Ron/Harry
Ratings: PG to NC-17, depending
Word count: 5300
Summary: Ron and Harry at four points in their lives. Who can ever, really, explain the simple profundity of lifelong companionship?
A/N: bottomless gratitude to
wolfiekins,
cim_halfling and
auntee_mame for their betas. Suggested by and written for Callum, inspiration and friend. Title from G.K. Chesterton. DH-compliant; ignores the Epilogue.
( This Submerged Sense of Wonder )
- ... is to write five linked drabbles of no more than 250 words each charting the developing relationship between Harry and Ron. The drabbles should be titled, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 refering to the ages of the characters in each drabble. At least two of the five should be rated NC-17. And here's the kicker... each drabble has to begin with the same line that the previous one ends with and the final line of the last drabble must be the same as the first line of the first. Also, there should be no need for a paragraph of explanation at the beginning... !

Title: Strange-Eyed Constellation
Pairing(s): Past Fred/Seamus, Seamus/Dean, eventual Fred/Seamus/Dean, Ron/Harry
Rating: This chapter definitely NC-17; threesome sex
Summary: War can make strange bedfellows; peacetime allows kindred spirits to join together. Seamus discovers both, and in being true to the baffling desires of his heart, believes that love needn't come exclusively in pairs.
A/N: my thanks to
wolfiekins for the written beta and the cameo!! This is truly the end, at this point. Thank you all for reading.

Strange-Eyed Constellation, Post 10
Jul. 27th, 2007 09:41 amWell— this seems to be the end of the primary story arc. For those of you who've been reading along, thank you for doing so, and for your feedback. I still have an Epilogue to come; I just felt this part of the story had come to its conclusion, but there are a few scenes I want yet I want to share. This certainly is a rare trio, and even readership for Seamus/Dean isn't that large, so I really do want to thank those of you who've read this and its exploration of possible pansexuality (or at least acknowledging that sexuality has rather a lot of shades of grey to it) and polyamory.

At the end of March I shouted out for four prompts for writing exercises, hoping for some unexpected pairings or new thoughts in general. Out of those, until today I'd only written one so far, but now I have a second. I'm incorporating both
lena3's request for Harry/Ron and the prompt/ambiance of "Crash & Burn" by Savage Garden (lyrics are here), and writing my inaugural post over at
bestmeatsawards, a PWP H/R community modded by my packmate
wolfiekins.
I'd had Grand Ideas of trying on a new writing style with this, giving myself permission to write something short so that I could try writing with shorter sentences, with one theme or image or ambiance for the whole fic, and a more pared-down style. In rereading it, I'm afraid that I didn't really get there with this. It still reads like something of mine and you'd know it. Ah well. There are a couple of nice turns of phrases, and it was like putting on a pair of comfy denims to write H/R again.
So! Short, adult, Warfic. Diaphanous hint of plot. Alert for potentially disturbing imagery of other characters depending on how vivid your own imagination is. Many adjectives.

I hope those of you who choose read this enjoy it; I totally fell for Dean while writing it, and suspect that I'll be featuring him in many future stories. And Ron, of course
I'm not sure why this pairing had never occurred to me before, but thanks to a nudge, it did. Posted in sections LJ deems short enough. :P
For people who've had troubles with my new layout, adding '?Style=mine' to the end of the html link will allow you to see the post in your own LJ style. I do like my layout, but I know it's caused several people some hair-pulling, and I'm really sorry about that.
Title: Vermilion Hunger, Cerulean Thirst
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Dean/Ron, past Ron/Harry
Alerts: rimming
Word Count: 21,200
Summary: Dean discovers that he can't resist the colour red, though being attracted to Ron isn't exactly the smoothest of roads.
My gratitude to
risiepookie for this marvelous pairing and prompt, to
wolfiekins for listening to me read sections of it aloud to him, and to
koshweasley for the suggestion of a perfect ending. To my betas,
wolfiekins,
auntee_mame and

I'm already behind again at
rondracodrabble, but I was writing a letter to
stuckinsea and wrote her a concluding bit to Growling in the Lion's Den. It's just a wee bit to finish out the scene, and since there's a chance you (Hannah!) might not be able to read my writing considering the scratchouts and whatnot, here's the ending (slightly modified; I obviously can't do anything without editing it!). Pr0ny, adult, way short.

I've been writing on this off and on since December with a few other fics that have been posted before completing this one. This is the latest installment in the story arc from Ron's POV. I hope you enjoy!! My advance apologies for cross-posting to the Ron/Draco archives that many of us frequent.
Title: How Close the Divide
Pairing: Ron/Draco
Rating: NC-17

Has he pushed things too far with Draco and Xavier? The sixth full-length installment in the Magic Immunity series.

New fic: "In Omnibus, Fratris"
Mar. 13th, 2007 07:57 amYes, more fic! I was recently in an unexpected situation of confinement, and spoke with
wolfiekins about it, and he vastly improved my spirits. I asked for him to give me a prompt, or something he'd really like to read; his reponse was that he'd love a story that was Ron/Charlie, with one or both of them as either a vampire or werewolf, and "scorching." I do hope that this is sortof what you had in mind!
To my regular readers, I know this is two Weasleycest stories in a row, but I doubt I'll be writing more. Just so you know. People on the flist not into my adult HP, don't read this.
Title: In Omnibus, Fratris
Pairing: Ron/Charlie
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 7800
Summary: Ron didn't expect Charlie to be his liberator from Azkaban. Then again, neither did he expect him to have become a vampire, nor that his brother could bring a new, and welcome, comfort.
A/N: For Wolfie. Unbeta'ed; any and all mistakes are mine (but feel free to point any out to me and I'll fix them!)
