thrihyrneI'm so excited- as requested, I received a copy of Unfinished Tales from my dad and stepmom. So I now have beautiful hardback versions of UT and The Silmarillion. I have the 3-in-one paperback of LotR which is fine, since I use it as though it were an encyclopedia anyway. And The Hobbit, and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and some other book. Currently I'm carrying around a notebook with several photocopied pages from the Tolkien Society bicentennial (I think) having to do with dwarves so I can competently write "Speak, Friend, and Enter." I haven't ever written about Elves aside from legolas (except for one in "Daughters" who is an OC), so writing about a banished Elf (Celebrimbor) with a real history and such could be a challenge. Oh, and he's a grandson of Feanor. I wonder if he could possibly have reddish hair... ;)
Am looking forward to this evening, hoping to get some more writing done. I have a huge to do list, but I'm not going to thrash myself if it isn't all done today.
Oh- and how is this for showing how odd my subconscious is? I fell asleep in my stepson's bed last night, scratching his back, and work up at 5:00 wondering where on earth I was. So I went over to my bed, accidentally waking up my husband. anyway, I went back to sleep and had a dream in which I was reviewing a long story at Henneth-Annun, set in Rohan. It wasn't very good. So this means that in my subconscious I made up A WHOLE STORY (I can't remember all of the details now, because in my dream I was skimming). I'm dreaming about reviewing stories. Maybe it's time to take a break from that. :P
