thrihyrne: Portland, OR (Ron on horse)

I asked my fellow Ron/Draco reader and writer [livejournal.com profile] seventines if she remembered a R/D story I read not too long ago that was absolutely brilliant. I thought it had been written for [livejournal.com profile] ron_draco's 9 to 5 challenge, but she didn't recognize my description, and I've combed the other R/D sites that I know of (and therefore would have read it there) as well as [livejournal.com profile] weasleyworship and can't find this story.

I know I sent feedback to the author, but in all of my scribblings of communities/authors/websites for stories on my scratch pieces of paper, I can't find it again, and I would love to print this one out. Yeah, it's that kind of story: one I really wish I hadn't lost already.

Does this summary ring a bell for anyone else? Ron has recently returned to the ministry after recovering from being tortured when he was turned in by his former partner (who also happened to be blond, and was posing as a Muggle) and then Draco begins working with him; there was an incident where they're stuck briefly in an elevator and Draco freaks out; and the end is so very erotic. Ron's job at the Ministry is in encryption. It's just a brilliant story, and I'm doing a constant headdesk (mentally) for having lost the fic.

If anyone can guide me to it, I would be eternally grateful. I'll even write you a drabble if you can find it for me. :D

Sorry I can't be of assistance, but your Remus/George slash is just about the only one I've ever really read and liked.

Otherwise, I tend to avoid it like the plague ...

Wow! Thank you! I would never have thought I'd be someone's one and only slash writer. :D And I'm thrilled that you've enjoyed the Cartography series. I think that after four of them now, I may really be done... *sniff*

(that's why I had to switch to Ron/Draco, I think. I missed writing about red heads)

I know I read this one, nothing coming to mind but let me think about it.

Oooh, thank you. I should have asked you as well, since we have some similar reading interests. And you read the Cartography series too, I remember you commenting on it! Thank you for mentioning it in a former post.

Oh, you won't be disappointed. It's well crafted, and hot as hell.

Thanks again for being willing to beta- I sent the fic to you and [livejournal.com profile] cim_halfling before going to work. :)

You've got it. ;)

((hugs back))

p.s. I look like your icon, except with long hair, and my cats are black, lol. Oh, and I don't have glasses except reading glasses that perch on my nose, but I only wear those to sing.

That cat looks like cat #3. I have a silver tabby, a brown tiger, a dilute longhair tortie, and a black kitten.

Awww.... so many kitties, so little time. :)

I have your story in my head, I just need to get it typed up. Expect to see it this evening. Thank you again for finding that story for me; I was devastated that I'd lost it.
