No news is good news

I've been a slacker, you guys, and my apologies. Had my brother/mom/stepdad/stepkids over Friday night which was much fun, and had a pretty laid back day yesterday. As seems to be the trend, this post will mostly be to thank many people for things they've done and/or sent:

~ to fungus_files, thank you so much for the phone call at work. It had been far too long since we've spoken, but a 15 hour time difference can do that.
~ to licia_north, thank you for the gorgeous Christmas package and card. The heart is hanging up on a holder here at "my" desk, and I adore the Russian christmas card. I, too, studied Russian, and it was so cool to read. Well, attempt to read. Your message made me all teary.
~ to cim_halfling, thank you for beta'ing "Till Shadowed Days Are Done." I think you must've been taking things really easy on me as there weren't a whole lot of comments, but I'm still so grateful. I'll have the epilogue finished today and there will be posting a'plenty.
~ to llembas and licia_north, thanks again for my site. I'm going to update my HP page on my website today and add the link to the site. That really is the coolest gift ever. And my continual thanks to Jen for beta'ing the twinfic. I'm excited that I'll actually be able to post two completed stories this month. I've been feeling so... not-closure-y.

I'm hoping to have some quality LJ time this morning or this evening, as I've been feeling isolated from everyone, though I have a couple of gifts to mail to cim_halfling and edrys. Darling twilights_abode, I have something for you too, but it's gone missing!

And it's FLURRYING!! SNOW! :D :D :D

Not enough to stick, of course, but it's pretty to watch.

They're teasing us with a slight possibility of "wintry mix" later this week, but I believe today it's supposed to get up to 66. *sighs* It'll probably be icky just when my mother is flying in and bollix up her flight.

Am having much fun fiddling with icons of late... not that I'm making them, just using new ones! :-)

okay i'm glad you posted for other reasons too. i've been wondering about you sweety. glad to see you are doin okay.

i do have a card for you, but i'm not mailing the usa cards until i hit the usa (because i'm a cheap bastard and it saves me about a buck fifty per card). so you'll get it in jan probably [*is lame*] and it isn't even v. exciting. [*sigh*]

realized with this post that i am behind on reading your stuff. i'll have to go over and catch up on what i missed during the crazy busy time because now i am just busy.

I'm doing okay; had a bit of an awkward weekend, but also productive. Need to post the G/R a few places and share the G/R that you've been so wonderful about posting comments about. You're in the thank yous, actually. :)

When will you be in the states? I need to figure out where to send your holiday stuff. And you're not lame, my friend. International travel can suck the life out of you, even if it's something you *want* to be doing.

aaarrrgggghhh don't know when i will be able to read your stuff [*pouts*] ah well, at least i have it to look forward to.

i'm probably repeating myself, but i'll be in the states from 22 dec to 9 jan, but only in seattle from 24 dec to 5 jan (which is the addy i sent you).

it is more work and immigration that are sucking my life out. i let my buddy the travel agent make the flight arrangements, and since most of the time i'll be staying with family it is pretty easy. course the planning of lunches/teas/get togethers is nerve wracking. where does the time get to anyway?
