Well, I think I'm in under the wire, but who would know. It's before midnight here, so it's still before midnight somewhere.

I am, however, eternally grateful to the following wonderful, unpaid, make-my-writing-not-suck betas:

[livejournal.com profile] llembas

Goddess extraordinaire. Neither of us knows why she picked my 90+ page Rohirric-centric story out of Parma to be beta'ed last August a couple of weeks prior to me being en route to Australia, but thank Eru and all things holy that she did. Before Jen, I couldn't have punctuated my way out of a paper bag. ['The comma goes inside of the quotation mark, lol!'] Thank heaven I've written hundreds of pages of fanfiction come a long way. When she reads a couple of sentences of mine now and writes, "Y'know, I've read this 4 times, and I still don't know what you mean," I know I need to work on it. She is truly a Goddess Among Women.

And she's MINE. So don't go asking her to be your beta. :P

Just kidding.

Other virtual flowers and the most expensive champagne I could buy go to:

I would wait months for your next writing. And your betas are always spot-on, and insightful. Thank you, thank you. Whether het or slash, you get to the source and point out the flaws. ♥

You've only done the one, but it was perfect. Poor, underserved HP het. Why do people only read slash?? *ponders* (((massive smooches)))

Through you, I've learned to be exceptionally wary of adverbs. Thanks to you, "The Hours" was a semi-finalist in two categories in the Mithril Awards. Amazing, absolutely amazing you are. And cutting. Which is part of the point.
(stifling hugs)

In other news, I want to thank myself for betaing for many others, and hope that we all are learning as we write.

Because isn't that the point??

**does happy dance for all beta writers, including her comrades-in-arms at HASA and checkmated.com**

Dude, I am stifled in the best of ways. :)

Seriously, thanks. That made my night! And my pleasure and anytime. Just let me know!

That work for the Mithrils, well, that was all yours. I just cut some things. That's just an awesome story. It really is.

I've been writing smut tonight. Dunno. I'm going to sit on it overnight. Actual Arwen/Aragorn. Go figure.

Anyway, thanks again. More writing from you, yes?

You're welcome!!

More writing from you, yes?

*sigh* Yes. Always. Maybe not a lot of Ardaverse, but the HP is going strong if I could get the energy to finish a couple of things. Not in the best of places in my own head, so I haven't been quite as productive, but I'm sure that will change.

Yay for smut!

I'm thrilled that you would wait for whatever I'm writing, especially since it's bound to be at least months at the rate I'm going! Hee!

I'm always happy to beta for you and glad that I've been able to be of help!

*hugs*

*hugs* back to you!

I'll wait. Not a problem. Goodness knows I haven't finished anything of substance in a while. :P

I'm so glad that you're around! If only I could finish something to warrant needing a beta. *looks despondently at pile of unfinished stories*

Awwwww. *blushes* You're too sweet.

And I still don't know why I decided to beta your epic. It will forever remain one of those strange unanswered questions.

Just give a yell whenever you need a beta. I'm always up for it.
*eagerly awaits your next fic*

I will be so grateful to finish a story to have you beta it!! Maybe that's part of why I'm feeling so down; no sense of closure in stories for me these days. But as soon as I do, I'll send it. Especially "Countdown." Probably won't be this weekend. :P

I can't tell you what hope that one comment give me for my own grammare, punctuation future. I thought you were born with this uncanny ability to write like a English teacher.

I too have two wonderful beta's One of them recenty said and I quote "this paragraph is way too long, I sort of lose the will to live before I reach the end" Is that not awesome?
