The most gorgeous song-
Sep. 29th, 2004 11:31 amA completely superfluous entry. I think that "The Angel" by Sarah McLachlan, both the text and the song itself (her voice, the piano, guh) is one of the most beautiful anthems I have ever heard, regardless of it being pop music or Anglican music, whatever. So, so very glorious. I dread to think of how many times I've listened it since goddess of music, otherwise known as
you are pulled from the wreckage
of your silent reverie
you're in the arms of the angel
may you find some comfort here
*swoons*
*listens to it again, thinking about how glorious it sounded as I listened to it a couple of weeks ago on my CD player while hidden away on the grounds of Lews castle, in a verdent-drenched forest, when I was on the Outer Hebrides*
I'm probably all melancholy because while (joy, rapture) it's cool enough to wear a cardigan, I picked the one I wore a lot while in Scotland, and today I noticed two white cat hairs on it; from the dear cat that would sit on my bed while I was at the B&B. Sniff. The holiday is over.
p.s. an idle thought; as a writer, at least on the side, the thought of trying to write song lyrics has begun to cross my mind, probably not least because I live in 'Music City.' Somebody's got to write all of those lyrics, and not all singers are songwriters, right?
