Second job

So I've been getting serious again about pursuing a second job. I applied at Panera Bread online and didn't think I'd get a response, but I actually have an interview tomorrow! Any and all positive thoughts are welcome. I've not worked in a food setting since college, but I've been doing customer-facing things for years. It can't be rocket science, and it's close to the house and JMU. I'll keep you posted!

Not much other news: I work my 15 hours, I donate plasma once or twice a week, I've been watching Britain's Next Top Model season 6 and knitting. We'll have houseguests beginning tomorrow through the weekend, a weekend in which I'll also have extra rehearsals and sing a choral evensong. Busy, and hopefully I won't feel overwhelmed by having not two but three extra people in the house, and they're my parents' friends.

I did start writing again on "Fang and Fury", my November writing project— I guess I could make a filter for that as well if any of you would be interested in reading along. For those following my khorite monk story, I will get back to it in December, I promise! I'm also looking forward to Yuletide and hope that the sign ups are soon.

And you all? Let me know how you're doing. ♥

That is so cool. I really hope the interview goes well for you. I've never worked there, but everyone who does always seems to be really enjoying their job.

I was thinking i want to be a barister. It seems to be such a cool thing to know how to do.

Boo for the extra houseguest, but you'll be fine. Just put your social face on, and turn on that charm.

Loved the conversation with you on Sat.

Well, I was hired on the spot! So, yay!!

And I'll be fine with the guests; I've done a lot of cleaning and can be as social or off doing my own thing as needed.

It was great to talk with you, too!! I always love our conversations.

If you get the Panera gig, perhaps there'll be a discount on the product? They make uber-yummy stuff there...the closest one to us is 35 miles away.

Cool that you're working on F&F again...perfect time of year to hang out indoors and write!

Who's in your icon??

I did get the Panera gig, and there's a discount, so… so much for me trying to lose some weight. :P

I am working on F&F! If I make a filter, would you like to be on it? Also, I spent several hours yesterday listening to EdgeRadio and thoroughly enjoyed it. I love being able to tune into your radio station!

Congrats on landing the job! Their foccacia is pretty dang scrumptious!

Sure, I'd love to be on your F&F filter. So cool you're still enjoying EdgeRadio! I've been having difficulty finding interesting music to add lately...hopefully the "drought" ends soon.

Who's in your icon??

Andy Whitmore and Jai Courtney as Spartacus and Varro from Starz' SPARTACUS: BLOOD & SAND.

I enjoyed that mini-series FAR more than I anticipated. Rather violent and well, bloody, but some definite eye candy (buff, sweaty men in skimpy leathers). There's hints of M/M and F/F, intrigue, scheming, betrayal, revenge...delicious performances by John Hannah and Lucy Lawless, too. Check it out if you can...the first ep is slow to start, but after that, whew! All 13 torrents are readily available at eztv.it!

Woot!
