I'm terribly negligent in this, but she did a color meme and I asked to play, and she gave me a sunny yellow as the color that she thinks of when thinking of me. Interestingly enough, I don't feel very much like a sunny yellow person, but I'll try to come up with 10 sunny yellow things that I do enjoy:

This is really hard. LOL.


1. I do love smoked gouda. When I buy it at the grocery store it's a slightly different color, but I love most yellow cheeses.


2. Autumnal leaves- while the red and orange are striking, the golden ones are beautiful too.


3. I'm not much of a condiment person, but I do love yellow mustard.


4. My favorite way to eat eggs is poached, with that bit of just slightly runny yellow yolk.


5. Though they come in all colors and patterns, yellow rain boots make a rainy day even happier for me.


6. While I'm a super sucker for peridots, I'm also fond of tourmaline.


7. I'll take any man wearing a kilt and, thusly, any tartan, but here's one with sunny yellow in it, a Buchanan tartan.

Does anybody else think of sunny yellow when they think of me?? I'm fascinated, and a bit perplexed. :P

I'm sorry, gingerspark, but I think I've already exhausted my list of sunny yellow things that I like. I'm just so much more of a somber person, or flashy in different colors. But thank you for definitely making me think!

i don't think of yellow, but i'm not at all surprised to see plaid there, lol.

oddly (or maybe not), the first color that comes to mind is the same deep raspberry red color of the winter coat i wore when we first met. berry reds--and christmas greens, too. you're totally the pagan colors to me.

I can't think of you as "sunny" yellow, knowing how anti-sun you are. I can think of you as a cool yellow, the yellow that the sun brings in the early morning sunrise. When the day is just waking and the sun brings that gentle warmth and light to the day. yeah, that I can see you as.

But, knowing you and knowing how green complements you, I see you more as a sage green. Wise and soothing.

However, purple is also a color I think of when I think of you. Something unique and vibrant someone who is willing to walk or dance to the beat of her own drum. No longer afraid of what others may think.

Umm, I guess I probably failed at this, as I simply can't pick one colour for you.

I'm definitely in the green range. And purple. Which was why the sunny yellow is so intriguing! I think I must project a more sunny persona at times. ;)

I'm just not a big fan of sunflowers! I almost included yellow gerber daisies, but really my favorite flower is the orange tiger lily. But my favorite ever is the purple thistle. ;)

I can't really see "sunny" yellow either, as I know you're more of a fan of cloudy days.

You're always purples and blues and teals to me. :)

I'm purples and blues and teals to me, too. With a heavy dose of luminous grey. :D

The meme is that if you'd like to play, I'll tell you what color I associate with you, and then you provide 10 things in that color that you like. The color I've always associated with you is navy. Not like polyester work clothes navy, but nautical/aquarial/navy. A deep, deep navy.

No, you're probably doing the meme right. Maybe you don't see yourself at all as navy, just as I didn't see myself as sunny yellow. But that's how you seem to me!

Mmmmm gouda :) We feel the same way.

I've never thought about colours for describing people, or if I have it is far to early for me to remember it.

But when we talk, you do seem rather sunny. Even on down days you can sound cheerful. And that reminds me I need to call and talk to you on break this week. Nothing if just to take my mind away from the crazy people. ;)

and i've not forgotten to send fic. i was looking at last chapter and then thought i'd go through the fic once more and the two sounded like they'd been written by two people. Hmmm, lost my tense past or something.

I do love me some smoked gouda!! See, to me you're orange, and it's a no-brainer. I think that I think more in colors than some people. But not bright orange-orange, more a burnt sienna, rusty orange. And not just due to your hair color. :)

There is, of course, the sunny yellowness of being with you, but that not exactly a pigment. Me, I would have said a misty grey.

You say you feel a green and/or purple person. It seems sort of strange to me, because I can't think of myself as any particular color at all.

I've always been very color-centric in how I see the world and myself. It's just a me thing. Misty grey is also how I perceive myself. Grey, purple, green.

To me you're white. Not a blinding white, but a soft, almost gauzy white. Not tinged with grey, or yellow, but a soft white. If you wish to participate with the meme, please do so! I'd be intrigued to see what you list.

There's a yellow Asiatic Lily, I believe. And daffodils... I do like the gerber daisies as well. I like yellow curry [and others]...lemon curd. Lemons & lemon bars...

I am rather green and purple, but I reckon I'm more sunny yellow than you are--optimistic, happy to be in the sunshine on occasion, wearing bright colors.
