It really has been a banner day on many levels. In my inbox today, I received this email:
    Hello,Thevina.

I'm zizi from China, and I am a big fan of Ron, like all the stories about him. When I came across your fanfic "Strife from the Furthest Prime", I found myself really fell in love with HARRY/RON ship, it's almost became my OTP in HarryPotter fandom. The desperation and heartbreaking is so delicious, crazy Harry is so delicious, and of course that tender, protective Bill is brilliant, what else should I do besides love this story?

And now I'm wondering that may I translate this story into Chinese in order to share with other Fans?

I didn't catch the Chinese ver. of it through internet, that's why I'm asking for your permission. And for sure I will have the author name, the original English link on the top, then give you the link where I post my translation, plus a copy of it if you would like to.

I'm so psyched! I've had one Tolkien story translated into German ("Antiphon to Light," found here). This is my third request; I'd suddenly had a flashback to some extended emails with a young Italian boy who really liked my Ron/something and was going to translate some stories, but then he vanished. I'm hoping this pans out!! :D :D

Wow! What an honor and great compliment to your story to have someone want to translate it to share with others!

I'm just SO happy that things really seem to be going well for you! You so richly deserve it! <3

*hugs*

Congrats! I've only had one, into Italian, and oddly enough it was a BBC Merlin (Colin Morgan/Bradley James RPG!) fic. So not my standard fare!

I'm pretty stoked! Unlike the story translated into German, however, I won't have a CLUE as to how this will get translated into Chinese, lol!

And yes, things are changing into new and intriguing paths; despite my major bump in the road, I do think things are turning around. (((hugs))) back to you! :D

No, that's NOT your standard fare! But then again, it is definitely an interest of yours. You just have so much more Tolkien. I was surprised that she picked this H/R as it's pretty bleak and it's left ambiguous at the end whether or not Ron, Harry, or both are quite insane. :P

I was pretty amazed. I would almost jump up and down and take requests for fic, but I'm determined to move the original up to the top. Well, *next* to the Lord John Grey/Hector story, because that's for a fest. ;)

I'm sure that I have read. But I think I have to read this one again!

It's one even I may reread! It was for the now-defunct Triatharon, with a prompt of "red". It has Weasleycest, too. It was definitely different for me in that regard.

That's awesome! I find the whole international fandom thing fascinating - wish I could read Chinese so I could check out their fansites and fanculture and stuff.

It is pretty amazing. I've become really close friends with some folks in Germany who are bilingual, and I'd love to be able to read their stuff in the original language. I do know there are sections on fandom I'll never know about because they're exclusively in a non-English environment, but many people do read English.

Thanks so much!! You've had several translated, haven't you? It really is an honor— though with it being Chinese, being able to print it out and look at it will be quite an experience. I'll probably make an icon. ;)

Several over the years, yes. It's definitely an honor, and fun too!
