Wraeththu-centric beta?

Dear flist: I've finished a Wraeththu fic, set in early era Freygard. It's a sequel to one to appear in Storm's compilation, but it's a stand-alone with essentially all OCs. It does reference the first story, but I fill in the gaps so a reader gets the idea of what happened prior to this. Word count is 6090, so not all that long. Mostly plotty and character development. Does anyharone have some time to beta it before I post? I'd be grateful! Just let me know and I'll email it to you.

The Celebrimbor bio should be of interest to you. Unfortunately, I won't be filling in a lot of detail on the Dwarves (having to do the reading though, so we can talk more about that!)--more generalizations about the similarities between the Dwarves and the Noldor.

Date: 2010-03-01 09:55 pm (UTC)Most of my work at the moment is on the new Wraeththu Mythos story collection. I've got a couple of old stories I want to include in it and am finishing them off when I get the time. Even though I've managed to offload most of my Immanion Press editing work to other editors, I still find a lot of my time taken up with IP jobs. Fortunately, not ALL of my time.
Wendy encouraged me to work on a story I've had knocking about for years – in fact I started it before I even began writing Enchantments of Flesh and Spirit. It involves the early Uigenna, and how the tribe split into several factions, including the Varrs and the Kakkahaar. It's been fun creating 'narrative clues' for future relationships between these tribes. The book will have a cover by Ruby, for which she's already produced a rough (though Ruby's interpretation of the word 'rough' might be interpreted as 'finished' by lesser artists, lol). It's beautiful and perfect for the book.
There is still space for a couple more stories, so if anyone is interested in submitting please mail me at editorial (at) immanion-press (dot) com. We're looking for high quality shared world tales rather than stories with too many trappings of fan fiction: original characters and story-lines, with strong plots, set in the early years of Wraeththu.
So I submitted a story which will doubtless need work before the compilation is complete, but in the meantime, I wrote another story with the same characters and locale because I really like them. :) So no compilation yet, but you can believe I'll post about it once it's available!! ♥
