I've never done this, and now that I've been on LJ for 5¼ years (!!), I thought I'd get a bit of a snapshot of who's where and why. If you're a RL friend and/or somebody who's been around for years, I probably know why you're here. :) But if you're relatively new, or you don't comment much, or if you're here just for fic (especially that!), please comment here and let me know what about my blog has compelled you to friend it. For those of you who are here nearly exclusively for fic, I'd love to know which of the fandoms I write you are here to read. Suggestions of what you'd like to see me write, or if there was one particular story that brought you here, I'd love to know that as well.

We met over a mutual love of Bartek in niennaainur's LJ. When I do read fic, which isn't often lately, I like LOTR/Silm, Swordspoint, Merlin and the occasional Wraeththu. I alse enjoy a good Supernatural fic, but I don't think you particpate in that fandom.

Lately, I've mostly been on LJ for the social interaction. It's a good way to relax and chat. :)

Well, you know me! I am here now because I consider you a friend and fellow writing-addict, but it was your fabulous Wraeththu fics that brought me (and still my favorite fandom for you). I'll read anything you write, but I have to admit my secret guilty pleasure is HP fic with Draco (I know that's like saying one reads Tolkien fic for Legolas--but this is my week for self-revelation).

And I had no idea you had a guilty pleasure of HP fics with Draco. I've paired him with Ron for years, and once with George, and once as part of a threesome with Harry. Yay for self-revelation!

I have sort of a love/hate relationship with Wraeththu, so I haven't yet read your fics in that fandom yet. When my personal pendulum swings back to the 'love' side, I most certainly shall, but I wouldn't want to taint a lovely experience by reading new stuff when still wearing jaundiced glasses.

Ah, yes. Wish I had more current offerings in the LotR fandom; I'm thinking some new, shorter Gimli fics are in my future once the Wraeththu manuscript is sent off.

I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on my Wraeththu at whatever point your pendulum swings back into the love side, and if that's still of interest. Glad to have you here!

If you ever get around to wanting to read some Wraeththu fics, I think I can probably say without insulting anyone that her Maelstrom and Mage is the best Wraeththu fanfic ever written. I have some favorites by other authors (Camile Sinensis and Elfscribe), but Maelstrom and Mage and its sequel just completely stopped me in my tracks.

No- ideally I'll have a manuscript to Storm by May. From there I guess it depends how much she has going on in regards to editing, getting a final decision and edit, then her typesetting and art and things. Maybe the fall? Maybe winter?? It'd be great if it were sooner, but I honestly have no idea how long these things take, nor how much is on her plate at any given time. I'll certainly let people know! ;) I will want a pre-beta before sending it to Storm, and Elfscribe has said she would look it over; would you be interested as well?
