When it happened the other week, users were advised to clear their cache and refresh.

Your icon is most likely still there; you don't have to reload it. It's just LJ getting its wires crossed.

That happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I have an icon from a Magritte painting that randomly turned into another painting. But only for a few days. It was very odd.
