Fighting a cold, and a wee pic

I'm sorry I've not been posting more pictures. I took my camera with me downtown yesterday before the demoralizing event, but it was also grey and I couldn't see Mt. Hood or much else on the bus. That said, I'd wished I'd taken a short video crossing the river; it really is beautiful in this part of the country.

I'm fighting a cold with the weather being in the 50s and then occasionally soaring up into the 80s/90s, but not very often. Mostly I'm enjoying having accepted the AAA job, and knowing I'll get to see a couple of people this weekend, and will be able to pick up my car tomorrow. I left a voicemail to accept and discuss the time off in October, suggesting that she email me. I suspect we'll just talk about it on Monday.

So I'm in the sweatpants I had to rummage around to find since the temperatures had gone down, and while I was in the bathroom, saw the perfect opportunity to take a photo of one of the two cats in the house who go in and out of the house through a variety of entrances, including this window in the bathroom that Rachel and I share. I've seen the cats jump from roof to roof, much like flying squirrels, or monkeys, or something. So



Oh, and I redid my hair. It's rather vivid, but it's still nothing compared to the people in this bohemian area in which I live. :P

LOL! It's really not all that steep. But it is funny because I'll be in the bathroom, using the facilities, sometimes with a cat looking at me, or coming in through the window. ;)

Thanks, sweetie!! The hair is fun; it'll fade as it always does, but it's still pretty pedestrian compared to some I've seen. ((hugs))

Holy crap! You have a job already? Congrats, Ms. What-if-no-one-wants-to-hire-me! As sucky as the mixed up interview time at the other place was (and definitely not your fault), i think it was fate. It made one of the three options so much obviously better than the other two. And hey, employee travel discounts! I agree that the 6 month wait for health insurance is excessive. What a ridiculous society we live in. Would COBRA from your previous job be stupid expensive?

Yeah, I do. :) Very, very glad about it, too, though I was kind of shocked at the suddenness of it. Glad that it's come to pass, and I have my car back as well. The six months of waiting for health insurance is sucky; I have a cobra option that I'd need to submit by August 1st and hadn't done so yet, at around $264 a month. I may go ahead and do it since I'm now employed, as I think not having it is bad.

Pics of me?? I'll take my camera tomorrow and will ask my slasher friend to take a couple of pics. ♥

(I think I'd have to close the window and draw the curtain when using some facilities. If a cat wants to watch while I step into/out of the shower, okay; but I draw the line at some things.)
