Having a very good day. I got a splendid package from [livejournal.com profile] llembas yesterday full of music goodness, including her own R/S soundtrack. Which rocks. I loooove it. It's gotten me all inspired to finish up "Essence of Black" instead of leaving poor Remus outside drinking his Scotch and Sirius as Padfoot asleep. Ah, angst.

And I just went home for my lunch hour and got in a good 45-minute jog/run and quick shower, so I feel accomplished about that. And...

[livejournal.com profile] jensa and [livejournal.com profile] edrys, I'm going by the post office this afternoon to send things your way. T., you're getting a 4 page letter, written this morning. This frequent communication is just wonderful! (and thanks for the avatar, too. :D)

I've also been making headway on tweaking my website, changing the html documents so none of them have spaces in them and fixing links that don't work. Yes, I know I shouldn't be doing this on office time, but there are only 4 of us here and I don't have a whole lot to do and I just am not going to feel badly about it.

Not only that, thanks to Jen's fabulous beta for "SFAE," it's much better. This comment of hers is classic:

Then (come on, you can do better than that. *grin* )they were in a building more beautiful…

So here's the improved sentence:

"After passing under an arched doorway, the frieze ornately carved with figures of birds and tree limbs, Narvi found herself in a chamber more beautiful…"

Jen has almost cured me of adjective overuse, at the same time being appreciative of my descriptive phrases. Truly a gem, as a friend, a writer, and incredible beta-reader.

p.s. for you HP fans, a quick question (I could probably go to the HP-Lexicon, as well, but I'm feeling lazy): are pieces of paper handed out for N.E.W.T.s? And is it known how many/in what subjects Remus got his? Or is there commonly-accepted fanon in regards to this topic? I would ask [livejournal.com profile] edeainjf, but she's with her dad in the hospital. I hope that situation improves.

See, I knew you could come up with a better description than "then". ;)

yay re letter! you ultra-productive gal. making me feel like a mega-slug. :p

have been getting moving quotes and thinking about what furniture I'll need, etc. feels a bit like a retarded "moving out" moment - like I'm going away to college about 10+yrs after I actually did...if that makes sense...
