You can tell it's a weekend, just watch me post!
I have a new layout! Yippee!!

I meant to post about this ages ago, but if you like foreign films (ie: don't mind reading as you watch), I highly recommend Hawaii, Oslo. It's full of eclectic and mostly well-meaning characters, and is both hopeful and full of angst. I'm not doing it justice. But our library had it and I enjoyed it so much I watched it twice in one weekend, back in December.

I bought shoes on eBay!! o_O I've been meaning to invest in some decent shoes for ages, and was newly inspired to look at Danskos, then for a lark went to eBay and discovered burgandy (the actual color I was looking for, mind you!) adorable shoes, my size, at an auction ending in 45 minutes (when I stumbled across them) with no-one else having bid on them. Someone else did after I did, but I ended up winning. I'm just… being so effing spontaneous. Wow.

My housemate's cats are being really, really odd. They're both being 'chatty,' and one seems to be rutting all over and under the other, though I believe they're both fixed. And both female (I know that part). So from time to time while here on the computer, I get to hear growling noises and funny chirping meowing sounds and see not-really-lesbian feline lovin' as entertainment in front of me on the rug. It's a wild night.

I'm writing like crazy on my WIP, despite the fact that I really have a tee-tiny audience for it. I've had far more replies on my rarest of rarepairs, things like Seamus/Draco or Seamus/Severus than this. What's up with me??! I did write a R/D drabble, though. That felt good too. But I'm unapologetically writing a Wraeththu novella, and haven't even gotten to the halfway point, which will actually turn into a sequel from the other of the pair's POV. My Muse is happy in Castlegar and Megalithica, so there y'go. The Author is happy drinking Diet Coke and eating a can of cheddar cheese Pringles. :headdesk: I did make myself a decent lunch, though. On weekends I actually do make one good, hot meal a day, versus just snacking.

The people on my flist are wonderful. I'm truly blessed to know so many of you, your exploits, successes, failures, candor and fallibility. I hope you're all having a good weekend doing whatever you're all up to. ♥

New layout = awesome!

Dansko shoes = sweet! ;D
(ooh, those are super cute!)

Hee at the cats!

Yay for writing!

Weekend...pretty good. Friday night we actually went out to dinner with the roomies, and it was SO GOOD. ;D
[we usually like to only go out for dinner on weeknights, since Fri/Sat are so crowded]

♥!

I love my new layout! And the shoes better fit, lol!! I'm nearly 100% certain I wear a Euro 37, which is like a US 7. I'll make them fit. :P

One cat is in heat; that explains a lot. Not fixed after all.

I've been thinking about SF again, and moving out west, spending some time trying to figure out how to do it properly. Though the idea of packing yet again gives me hives... lovely to see you again!

Ah! Film Movement. The majority of those films are wonderful. I recommend almost any of the movies from that company. You must have an awesome library. ;)

I got your letter and it was lovely. It made me chuckle. In the appropriate parts, of course!! I'll have to email you and send you a postcard soon.

Yeah, I'm really impressed with the Film Movement films! The library has its positive elements and some that aren't so great; but okay for the most part.

Glad you enjoyed my last letter; seems like it was a couple of weeks ago, so now I can't remember what on earth I wrote about. ;) I did try on a pair of very festive Converse low-tops at TJ Maxx and thought longingly of you.

Yay for the new layout! It's so colorful, and I love the Asian theme.

LOLZ at the cats. Spayed females can still go through "heat" even though they're not capable of producing offspring -- depending on how old they were when it was done. That might be what's going on.

I'm waiting until I start reading Wraeththu before I really delve into your fic for it. I did read the first part of Maelstrom and Mage and thoroughly loved it, so I'm certain I will simply devour the rest. ♥

Oh, one more thing. My God, you've got little feet!

:is jealous:

I'm so pleased with the layout! A welcome change, and I think everyone can see it now.

The one cat hasn't been spayed; she is in heat, hence the somewhat amusing antics.

I had no idea you'd been looking at my WIP, which feels as though it's going into a huge vacuum, minus 3 readers. Or so. But I'm engrossed in it, though the big changes on the horizon for the characters makes me weep. Though I knew that, going in...

My feet aren't little! That's a European 37, like a US 7. I wear a 7 1/2, but I'd tried on several Danskos of various styles last year and I'm nearly 100% sure I wore a 37, not a 38. I'll make them fit, goshdarnit!
