Belated Birthday greetings!!

I'm terribly chagrinned... due to the RL changes going on in my world, I neglected to wish a most fabulous of birthdays to eldritchhobbit yesterday!!! For any and all of you who read my fanfiction, or have read any of my papers on fandom, you have Ms. Eldritchhobbit to thank. She and I cofounded the Lomelindi back in Nashville, and she was the first person to tell me about fanfiction, both the study of it, its history, and she was my first supporter and enthusiastic encourager when I began to write.

eldritchhobbit has made such a lasting impact on my life- certainly not just in fandom. My dear, dear heart, I am so very glad that this world has you in it, and that you and I were able to have that time together when we did. I'm especially glad that we've continued to keep up in the ensuing years, and that your academic star has become a veritable constellation of successes, one after another.

A very, very happy birthday to you. I really can't imagine life without you there.
