So. Am in new space; my stuff is still scattered, despite my own pathetic attempts at feng shui, and dead flies in the windows (don't ask), and eating, and washing and putting up many dishes. Clothes are mostly in boxes, and less-fraidy-cat is chasing something insectory, and I think I'm going to watch My Boy Jack. It was something I downloaded before moving, though I do know now that the satellite dish outside works.
The scenery is still gorgeous.
I still ache. I did eat some pasta and took in Ibuprofin and had a Eucalyptic bath, and am now here, to let you all know that I survived and all is well and the one cat is having a field day and I ache and should probably be in bed.
My satellite internet works, however.
Unpacking more boxes will happen tomorrow.
My parents visiting after church will also happen, and if all is well with the cosmos, they'll bring their digital camera, and I can show you all why I moved 19 miles south of town to see the stars, and cows, and no traffic, and all that...
[resists urge to go outside, just because it's so gorgeous]
Thanks, all.
I'm very weary. I know that many of you are, like me, on the north american calendar, so this week upcoming is basically a wash, but I'll try to keep in touch.

BTW, the choir at your nearby university just performed Beethoven's Misa Solemnis with my choir and orchestra. I was in the audience because I don't do well with singing big honking pieces. I prefer the tiny, chamber ones. They all did a lovely job. The local Big City Paper reviewer was in the audience, so we'll see what he has to say.

Date: 2007-11-18 07:32 pm (UTC)But! Now that I'm getting close to finishing it, it's beginning to release the grip it's had on me since June when I first started thinking it was necessary to write some SGA fic with a tone I wanted. Which means HP! I woke up this morning itching for HP fic, and that's the first time that's happened since May. Yay! I have a lot of random recs saved in a folder that I've been keeping for 6 months, but I might post in my journal and ask my flist if there are post-DH things I simply must read. This is so exciting! But first, I have to write the last big scenes for the Jerusalem fic caused by new canon. Can't switch back fandoms just yet.
Good luck settling in! I imagine the freedom of your own place, free from parents, will be hugely liberating.
