My dear friend callumjames wrote a shortish and gorgeously dense story for me, and with my favorite non-obscure pairing, Ron/Draco. My gratitude and description can't begin to do it justice, so just go and read it. I do hope if you enjoy it, you'll let him know. He's written some stunning Harry/Ron as well, but he was willing to try out this pairing out of affection for me, and I can't tell you how humbled and grateful I am.

Yes, I read his stuff and throw up my hands and say, "That's it. No more. I can't write anything like that. I'm done."

But we each have our own authorial voice, and I try to get inspired, rather than beaten down when I read and am exposed to such talent.

It is gorgeous. You can tell there's a poet behind that prose, can't you??
