For those of you my age and perhaps a bit older, there was a song in the late 70s/early 80s that I think must have had the title "Eileen." Searching for the other snippets of lyrics that I remember ([something about lips] someone will be kissin' them— [something something] this burnin' desire... (chorus) Eileen... here we go again...) only gives me damn Dexy's Midnight Runners' "Come On Eileen." That's not it. This song is older than that. I don't think it was as popular, but it was on the radio a fair amount at the time. I'd put the genre as rock. I could sing parts of it to you and explain some of the riff at the end, but I can't find it. AUGH! If anybody has any idea of what song I'm talking about, please put me out of my misery.Edit:
evilauntiesnape has done it. It's "Ah! Leah!" by Donnie Iris. No wonder I couldn't find it, but I'm so glad she knew it!! I'm so relieved.
Thanks!
And squee upon squee, I think that
pghpatronus is going to be my valiant knight/marauder and come get me so that I can see OotP with the Fellowship of Most Excellent Fanbois this weekend. :D :D :D :D
The oddity, though pleasant: I received a second review for Strange-Eyed Constellation at skyehawke. The person asked if the vampire and werewolf book series that Seamus is reading aloud to Dean, "Fang and Fury," was a real series. And if so, where could she find it? I only mentioned it a couple of times in the story, but apparently it made a favourable impression on one reader! I now think I've figured out what to write for original fiction. A vampire and werewolf doomed love and hot erotica series. Hmmmmmmm.
