Some generous soul gave me an anonymous gift of extra userpics. I don't even know how many I have, I'm still in such a kerfuffle about it all. In fact, yesterday was a true Banner Day for me, LJ-wise: I received a first-ever anonymous gift (it must be my South Park iconage, lol), and someone read one of my stories (older story, newish community, [livejournal.com profile] wizard_trauma) and immediately recc'ed it to the public on her LJ.

Wow. So now I can stop dreaming about Adobe Photoshop, hopefully, since I've been spending so much time on it that I really did dream about it last night, and get back to work on gift!fic, deadline: tomorrow.

    Dear Anonymous Donor:
If you would care for a short ficlet as a gesture of gratitude, or even an icon (despite my still very limited skills), please leave me an anonymous message of the pairing/situation/whatever or icon topic and I'd be thrilled to write or make it for you. This is almost as exciting as Halloween!! :D

So I was doing a Google search to find a dragon naming generator (don't ask - yet), and stumbled across this hilarious site. Not only are the generators themselves innovative some of the commentary accompanying them is positively spew-worthy. The person with the site is into Les Miz, so here we have the French anti-Mary Sue:
Anti-Marie-Suzette Generator
Humdrum names, prosaic professions, and unfortunate personalities for your writing pleasure.

Creations:
Adèle David is a street vendor with a tendency toward picking fights. She has blue eyes and straight brownish blonde hair; the most obvious thing about her is her bad breath.

Ooooh.

And this: Bloody Awful Furre Description Generator
Instantly create a *cough* "poetic" *wheeze* anthropomorphic animal character.
fits under the 'Deliberate Travesty Generators.' Wowza.

Creation:
The husky tempest poses 'pon shapely appendages, her ardent hide emerald of complexion... ice orbs luminesceing with luster and auditories pricked atop her powerful silhouette.

So very much fun. Have I said yet today how much I love the internet??!

I also went to the county fair today; next year, if I'm still living here, I'm definitely putting in my Eowyn costume and my knitting. Somebody needs to liven up the offerings. The funnel cake was really good, though.
