one holiday exchange fic down, one to go!
Nov. 7th, 2006 01:22 pmThree days before deadline, my
merry_smutmas fic has been emailed. Thanks to the few of you who've been privy to it to beta and give me guidance.
My
bestmates_xmas is well underway, probably 2/3 or 3/4 done. That's a happy thing. If all goes well, I'll have the next several evenings to work on it, but no way tonight as I still haven't packed. I haven't even looked to see what the weather will be like, or where my hotel and training place are. Guess that'll happen later tonight...

And hey! I'm going to Houston! There may be yummy men in cowboy hats, now that I think about it, lolol.

Date: 2006-11-08 03:13 pm (UTC)Yes, you and me both. However, I doubt I'll actually get out to do any line dancing or anything like that, though I've enjoyed it in the past. Another person on my flist from Houston let me know where the more artsy/gay areas are, but I suspect I'll just curl up in my hotel room and work on my H/R. I think I'll also take GoF with me to watch on my laptop.

Date: 2006-11-08 11:27 am (UTC)Sounds like the weather will be awesome (well, for someone like me, anyway). Good time to write, I hope, provided that there isn't a great deal of peripheral obligations that go along with the conference...
Don't panic, luv! Flying is fun! Well, at least the taking off part! *g*

Nope. In fact, it's not a conference, it's a training seminar. There are only 3 of us and an instructor. See here (http://lodestone.com/training/ClassDetails.cfm?ClassId=1028), the Houston class.

For you, maybe. Actually, I quite enjoy it once I'm on the plane and we've taken off. After seeing "Pushing Tin" I really do get a bit worried about the whole air traffic controlers thing, but I'm also unwilling to live a life lived in fear. And statistics are on my side.
(((hugs back)))
