I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but I'm going to be in Houston this Wednesday-Friday for a two-day CSS seminar. I'll have my evenings free, and while I really don't mind holing up at the hotel and working on fic, if any of you fine souls live in Houston, let me know and perhaps we can meet up for dinner.

Back to the grind…

Oh, phooey!! Bummer. I was pretty sure I didn't have any current Houstonians, but thought I'd ask. I used to live in Tennessee… I think Kentucky is prettier. :)

Same issue for me. My folks live in Houston and I graduated from HS there, but alas, I won't be back in town until the Chrismas hols. *hugs* Next time you end up out in L.A. though... :)

ARGH! I'd love to see you again! I will end up heading out your way next fall en route to Australia, so I'll be sure to coordinate with you. :)

I know! But such is the ways of fate. But yes, we'll definitely have to coordinate for next year - I know that layover in LAX to Australia far too well. 9 hour layover one time, 7 the next. :)

Yikes! My high school best friend has lived outside of LA for years, so I always incorporated a day or two's stay going down with her, otherwise I'd plan it so the layover wasn't too bad.

Yeah; actually, I was hoping/planning to spend the day/night with you, either going over or coming back, if that suits. :)

I am not from Houston (not today, anyway), but I just wanted to comment with a *hug* and hello!

You're so funny. :) I'm still feeling wrapped up in the warm blanket of words from your last email, as well as the admonishments. Thank you with everything that I have. (((hugs)))

Too far for me, wah! My former grad school roommate lives in Houston, but I don't think that does you much good. :-(

Oh well- it's okay; I didn't really expect anybody to say yes, but thought it would be silly not to put the question out there. More time for evening lounging in a bathtub I don't have to clean, lol!

Thank you! Should be pretty cut and dry, but it would've been cool to meet up with a flister. (((hugs to you)))

If I didn't live so far south in Texas I'd probably have met up with you. But that's not much help is it? lol

Have a safe trip! *hugs*

*continues praying that one of us will get to the other side of the country!* Alas, Houston is still about 1200 miles to far away!

If I had more time to plan, I'd go. I'd love to take a road trip. Unfortunately, it's a 9 hour drive from here and I couldn't possibly arrange it. Have fun while you're there and be safe!

Yowza- that is quite a drive. At least we'll be in the same state!! ;)

Not quite the same state. I'm in Oklahoma, home of the Sooners, which has a longstanding rivalry with Texas. Nothing against the state itself, mind you, but I'd probably get mobbed if I wore my OU ball cap down there!
