Will post properly tomorrow about sauna, Howl's Moving Castle, xover paper, vampire!fic, hearing from the author of one of the fandom books I recently finished, and anything else of note that occured over the weekend, though that about sums it up.

For now, I have a fanfic rec. I don't want to give anything away about the story, but it's by [livejournal.com profile] kaalee, whom I first got to know by her wondrous R/D story "Unexpected." It was one of the first Ron/Dracos I read, and it led me to her as a person, for which I remain ever grateful. Her newest R/D is If we don't kill each other first…, and I highly recommend it to you. It's a War-era story, with Ron manifesting unexpected healer abilities. I enjoy all of [livejournal.com profile] kaalee's writings, but this one was particularly effective in that her writing of Ron rings so solidly true for me. And you guys know how much Ron I've written. The ending is hopeful while still acknowledging the many inherent hurdles involved, and I'm a sucker for 'person is honest around former enemy when in a coma.' In fact, now that I think about it, I did that in "A Private Oratory." Oh, just go and read her exquisite story. If moved to do so, please share your comments with her. Personally, I'm still hoping that she'll write the second part of "Unexpected" one of these days, though I'll also happily submerge myself in her Dean/Seamus stories, again so deliciously in character.

Sweetness, I just hope that my saying something sends more people to you to read it. No pressure about "Unexpected;" it's the fangirl in me that really wants to see that story continued. :)

So Glad I found you!

Hey there! :D:D

Welcome, welcome! I've put you on my flist, so now you have access to the more in-depth entries. I've written some Tolkienfic, but not as much as in the past. Hope there are a few new stories you'll enjoy… I can't tell you much I feel my personal diaspora from you guys. There's a group called "The Fellowship of the Beltway" that I haven't been able to meet yet, but I think I'll have occasion to do so at the end of the month.

(((binding hugs)))
