I check in these communication tests for the Communication and Speech Disorders students, and several of them are OWLS: Oral and Written Language Scales. But they stand for something different to my mind. ;)

A friend told me about this site which is so compelling in a very voyeuristic, illicit way, as it's meant to be. Makes me wonder whether or not I should plunder my own cache of secrets and send one in to them.

Isn't it fascinating?! And troubling. Probably why I like it. Glad you're enjoying the link- and the postcards change each week or couple of weeks.

Wow. Thanks for that link. It's fascinating! And one of the pictures made me tear up. (The one of the ultrasound. :((

I did feel kind of sneaky reading all those secrets, as small as they were.

Many of them will do that, or make you flush, or think, "OMG, what would somebody think if I posted a secret of mine?" Some of them are scary. It's both titillating and creepy, but also a purging experience (I would imagine) for the people who send them in.

great site and fascinating project, especially when it's presented in the context of "art." yes, they're all secrets, but they are knowingly divulged and unattributed, so in a way they're still the property of the poster but given 'authority' as written hardcopy...hmmm. or maybe that's just me with brain stuck in aca-mode. *hits the "Esc" key* :P

Pretty fascinating, all 'round; the idea of personal divulgences as art is a bit out there, isn't it?! I just wish they updated more often than they do, though I don't know what that says about me looking voyeuristically into strangers' lives.

Oh. I'm a student services coordinator, and I work with assessments a lot. For a minute there it sounded like we might do something similar.

FYI: I stuck a cd in one of the cards I just sent you. Only I just now realized that I burned it as a data cd. Which means, it'll only play on your computer. *facepalms* To get them to play in a regular cd player, you'd have to rip them off and reburn it to another cd.

*headdesks*

Hey! I got both cards yesterday, thank you so much!! :D :D I got the CD, too, so I'll try it on my computer first. You wrote that it's a soundtrack, but didn't indicate what it was... maybe it'll be obvious when I play it.

(((hugs and gratitude)))

*dies* I swear my brain is just going. I had the track listing all printed up but I left it sitting on my bookcase. It's "The Claim" by Michael Nyman. I've never seen the movie, but I love the soundtrack.

You can read the wohle track listing here:

Thank you, sweetie. I'll print it out, too. :P

And hey- getting two cards from you in one day (and two of my favorites!!) far supercedes the fact that the CD came with basically no explanation, like a surprise gift for me to decode. :)
