One of my favorite and most-respected authors in HP-dom quoted back to me a sentence of my recent R/S story. She really enjoyed it. I'm in heaven. In fact, I printed up the feedback I got from that story, because each person quoted back a sentence from the story to me. It's so incongruous: I do this all the time to other authors, even putting their spectacular phrases in my own email footers, and yet I'm stunned when other people are so moved by my own writing. I cannot express how gratifying it is to have fellow authors write, "gorgeous descriptions and evocative phrases, hallmarks of your writing" and it be in reference to me.

I'll post more tomorrow. Have kids; am working on installment #2 of George/Remus story in the "Cartography of Fire" series, and actually have had a hobbit-centric website ask to archive one of my Eowyn and Merry (not together, just near each other) stories at their site, "A Way Opens."
