Sometimes characters in the books associate by physical descriptions--Pell being attracted to Caeru as a blond (e.g., reminiscent of Cal), whereas in character and personality they could not be more different; again Galdra's blond and over and over the physical resemblance is mentioned while the personalities are as different as night and day. Ashmael, like Terzian is blond and also a paragon of military efficiency, both are charismatic and certainly both stunning to look at. Sometimes, I dream up these imagined quotations. I did that for a fews lines in Ellen Kurcher's Swordspoint novels and, when I finally located the lines that had triggered my impression, the POV person as well as his object were completely different.
