I posted my Yuletide entry (His Dark Materials fandom that you so kindly beta'ed!) at a HDM fanfiction comm here on LJ that I've been a member of for ages but don't pay much attention to because there are so few people who write HDM fanfic. Anyway, I posted it and received this as the only comment (thus far): How does Lyra know the Knife's broken? It royally pissed me off this morning, but with some time, I'm now going to write a slightly higher road retort about perhaps supporting people contributing to the comm and then prove my evidence canonically. Just asshattery. At least when I got the non-comment at raythoo (or the person commented about the canon, nothing at all about my actual story) s/he didn't come across as totally rude. I'm having a lot of "Whatever" moments of late.
