More than once I've been writing and written a particular word and then put "(?)" next to it to go and look it up to make sure it's what I thought I meant! I do love using exotic words, but they can stand out and actually detract if you use too many. Still, there are so many deliciously descriptive words out there and we simply don't use them often enough. ;)
