I'm glad you wrote this epilogue - It gives Vaysh a bit of resolution, which he definitely needs, and its done in a way which suggests that a new beginning is possible for him now that he's confronted his past. I never know whether to be convinced about his relationship with Pell or not - yes, we know Pell is Super and Special and everyone just falls at his feet... I suppose that I can give Pell credit for something just this once!
The hugely awkward encounter with Ashmael is very realistic! *cringe* Ashmael's reaction isn't so much callous indifference as simply the inability to deal with what is, after all, a situation no-one would ever expect to find themselves in!
And Velaxis is awesome, but then, he always is! ;-) (obligatory Write More Velaxis comment goes here )
