Don't worry, easy enough mistake to make! Truth to be told, I am a Tolkien fan, although I really had slipped away until the movies came out, then I finally got my act together and read the LOTR trilogy properly. The name, however, has nothing to do with it, though my initial fandom here in LJ was LOTRips! I had no idea of the coincidence with the name until I had been here a while and realised how close it was to Haldir. I've had the moniker far longer than I'd been aware and really hadn't thought of it at all in relation to the story! ('Hal' and 'door' come from '2001, A Space Odyssey' and are partially to do with my RL name, you see!).
Anyway, thanks for friending me, I certainly am looking forward to more of Vaysh' POV (and today and yesterday I worked my way through the first book in the second trilogy of Storm's! I'm hooked again!)
