I'l admit, I'm pretty new to roleplaying online, although I've had a few jousts with Vampire - The Masquerade and Dark Ages and similar system, mostly the White Wolf ones. But I like writing my characters' responses, their scheming and floundering, that's for sure. :) Yup, non-HP, seasidecafe (http://asylums.insanejournal.com/seasidecafe/), over on IJ. It's multifandom, but there are a lot of HP characters around. They're quite dominant, actually (no Ron yet!?!), and of course they do garner the most attention and activity. In a way, it's closer to a comm like theatricalmuse (and similar) than to real life RPGing, I find. And if you don't wish to engage much in RPGing, but would rather use it as a writing exercise, that works as well; you could just write your responses and don't let your character(s) amble around. *tempt, tempt* Sometimes I wonder though... whether it was a mistake to be playing figures I love so dearly - Cesare Borgia and Anotsu Kagehisa - since they've taken up even more of my headspace. And writing time, yes. Cue the rueful grin.
