The scene with Dean absolutely falling apart came out of nowhere I think that is so neat! I've had that happen a couple of times where something completely unexpected happens and that is what people notice and comment on. Very cool.
I'm still in awe that you seem to be 'winging it' with this piece, and don't have the major plot points lined out already. Fascinating! I think I remember you making comments to the same effect when you were writing FWTW. I don't know how you write with such depth and commitment without knowing where you are taking the plot ahead of time.
As to your comments about my story and my writing, I'm tore between full-body blush and astonishment. lol I really feel like I'm totally faking it, and I'm just waiting for someone to tap me on the shoulder and say, "excuse me ma'am, you don't belong here, you're going to have to leave."
As for Of Blood and Dust and Potatoes, wow. I really dont' think that the amount of reviews I got necessarily reflect its relative quality. It's a Harry and Ron friendship piece, which I think fic readers across the board were able to get into, since it reflects a dynamic in canon. Where as so many of the triatha_ron fics where 'shippy,' only smaller circles of people were interested in reading them. Do you know what I mean? I just hate for you to get yourself ready for something grand. eep!
I just need to be sure I'm in a positive place about my own writing It just boggles me that you would ever doubt yourself or your ability. I am so glad I found your writing. Not just because of the immense enjoyment I get from reading your stories (even if they tie me in knots) but because they inspire me to want to learn and get better. You are one of THE writers in fandom that sets the bar as far as I'm concerned.
Okay, well, enough of the self-effacing. Be well! :)
