My third homecoming to The Burrow
May. 16th, 2007 11:04 pmI'm counting down the hours.
Quite candidly, as I think you all know if you know me at all, I'm pretty solo by nature. I'm not anti-people, nor even anti-relationship, but from a very young age I've had a keen skill at self-entertaining and going on adventures by myself. In fact, now that I think about it, I have a lot of attributes that would normally be given to only children, though I'm the oldest of several. Anyway, my affections run quite deep for a select number of people, and wider rivers of fondness rush to many people in my life. De rigeur, though, for major events (like travelling) as well as the quotidian circumstances of daily life, my mode of operation is this:

(for any other inherent and tired of being considered pathological simply for being solitaries, it's a fabulous book. The subtitle is "The Loner's Manifesto")
This weekend, however, will be different. By mid-day tomorrow I'll be with
pghpatronus, Friday late morning
lena3 will arrive from the west coast, and tomorrow evening, I'll be home again with
koshweasley and
wolfiekins, all five of us having an absolutely smashing time, I'm sure. There'll be writing, and fandom conversations that start and never stop, and baseball, and icon-making, and food-eating and just about anything, though I suspect that sleep will tumble to the bottom of the list. I'm even primping, which in many ways is kindof funny, but they're my best mates, and I just want to look my best. What can I say? There's nobody here that I care about looking fancy for. But for my packmates, well, it's just different.
So! Stay posted: there will doubtless be drabbles posted, and maybe something longer. Have to see just how inspiring all of that kin(etic) engery is. :D
