Risie update; Gratitude; 'Driving Lessons'

A few things:

Some of you may know risiepookie; she writes primarily R/Hr. Our relationship began at TQP, as writer (her) and beta (me), but a deep friendship has developed over time. She's had a traumatic health incident, and while I'm not at liberty to discuss details, she should be home now. If anyone on my flist would care to drop her a card or note via snail mail, email me [thevina33 at gmail dot com] and I'll provide her conventional address. Regardless, any well wishes and hugs and thoughts and prayers are welcome. She won't have internet access in the manner she'd prefer for probably a week or more, but I'm sure she'll feel the outpouring of care being sent her way.

Thank you to pghpatronus for the lovely diamond; in all my days I never expected to have been given two, and from such generous, supportive, affectionate people. I really enjoyed our chat last night, too.

And finally, another round of thanks to lena3 for emailing me about the fact that "Driving Lessons" was going to be playing at our downtown, locally-owned theatre this weekend! I saw it on a pretty large screen chez wolfiekins and koshweasley over the holidays, but it was just wonderful to see it again and on the big screen. My parents went too, and they really enjoyed it. All over my flist are pictures of a half-clad Mr. Radcliffe, but I quite enjoyed seeing the equally scrumptious, yet nearly-always fully clothed (though that one scene of shirtless 'Ben' was great a second time!) Mr. Grint. And boy do I want the soundtrack. Unfortunately I have "Be the oil in my lamp, keep me burning" stuck in my head; I'm sure I sang that at church camps growing up. :P
