You have to play to win...

So I'm in Virginia, and every couple of weeks I've bought $3 worth of lottery tickets. The first time, nothing. Today, I won $2, so I'm down $1. I also paid $1.45 in library fines for my stepdad, books that had languished on the table next to my grandaddy's chair. Maybe the good karma will pay off.

Though I suspect I'll never actually win the lottery.
