Got my ticket... *grin*
Dec. 6th, 2003 11:48 amI bought my midnight showing ticket of RotK yesterday, en route to the church where I used to sing in the choir and now only sing occasionally. A singer since childhood, and usually as a church musician, it is rather odd for me to realize that this weekend is already the second Sunday of Advent and all I've been thinking about is Return of the King and the Christmas gifts I want to send to my friends in the fanfiction world. I experienced a rather sobering conversation in the yarn store, a place which used to be a frequent haunt, when I found out that one of my choir and knitting friends was beginning 30 chemotherapy sessions. She's my age, with one child, whose baby shower I coordinated 3 years ago.
"A House Divided" is almost finished, and I'm listening to the 'soundtrack' that I made for it.
There are incredibly rare moments when I think I'm brilliant, and this is one of them.
(swears at Michael Hutchense, crooning on my soundtrack. Damn you for committing suicide. WHY??? You were so selfish. Argh.)
This evening's activities: some knitting, a shower, then attending a Sewanee friend's 30th birthday party.
