There's so much Tolkien fanfiction that somebody's undoubtedly had a go, though I can't think of an example offhand. But don't let that put you off!
My version is on my hard disk only -- though it is actually fanfic (Charlotte Bronte), it's the prologue of a pro novel I'm trying to write. I could mail you a copy if you're interested? -- though be warned the scenes are (intentionally) *extremely* short.
