thrihyrneI hope you're having a wonderful day, seeing as how you're already halfway through it. And maybe my card even got there on time… Thank you for your continued friendship, your sage wisdom, and above all, your sharing with me about your path and gentle encouragement to allow the universe to guide me on mine.
In honor of you and your H/D love, I present a drabble.
* * * * * * *
Harry laboriously awoke from a sound sleep, roused from a pleasant dream involving a talking shade tree and sunny beach. Without opening his eyes, he focused on the odd noise which must have woken him up.
Humming.
The distinctive tune moved ever closer and a faint odour of candle wafted over to the bed. A familiar, comforting weight settled down next to him. Harry rolled over, his fuzzy brain interlocking the obvious clues into an understandable, unexpected whole.
"Draco. Is that a cupcake?" Harry asked incredulously, grasping for his glasses.
A secretive, pleased smile lit Draco's face.
"Happy birthday, Harry."
