More bumper stickers

Yesterday was a banner day for bumper stickers! The first two were on the same car:
HDTV- as clear as lies can be
God Bless American Idol

Then the third: I'd Rather Be Contradancing. You just never know what you'll see... I'd like to get a People's Republic of Portland bumper sticker now that I'm actually a Portlander with Oregon license plates and driver's license and all of that.
Edit: on my way to work today I saw the third "something happens" bumper sticker; I'd thought I'd see three last Friday, but it took until today. So today I saw "Magic Happens." Yes, it does. :)

In other news: I love the new place!! So happy. I went to Ikea after work yesterday and managed to get out having spent just under $30. I even got festive napkins and a napkin holder to put them in on the small dining room table. I didn't get a trash can, which I'll need to remedy. I also didn't invest in a chest of drawers; the least expensive one they had was $40 which isn't bad, but I didn't want to spend the money right then. There's a fun vintage place on Hawthorne that I'd like to look around, and there's also several Goodwill shops in the area.

I'm writing a lot; mostly things that won't be posted for several months. But I should have the short Alexander/Bagoas story for persephone100 posted later today. And now, off to work!

You have iron resolve and a will of steel! I always get mugged by Ikea for considerably more. Of course I needed that odd-shaped vase and that wooden pot stand and that set of nested plastic storage boxes and...

I do have iron resolve!! I've also tried not to make too many trips out there, but I've only been three times or so. I'm just on a budget, and am thrifty by nature. It'd be fun to go crazy there, though!!

Isn't that great? And the irony that they also sported the God Bless American Idol obviously reveals that the person *does* watch TV. I'm a fan of "Kill Your Television" bumper stickers. ;) Not that it stops me from watching shows on my computer, I must admit.

There is this tiny, open lodge up in the mountains here that holds a monthly contradance. It is surreal. I haven't been there in a decade, but I recently had the feeling that I should go. I'm using the bumpersticker you ran across as a premonition.

And yay! yay! Alexander and Bagoas. I can't wait!

Oh, yay! I think I've actually done contradancing once... I also found that there used to be a Portland Society of Wales and I emailed the then-head of it, but haven't heard back.

Alexander/Bagoas will be posted when I get home! It's pretty short, but hopefully Seph will like it. :)

It's a great store! The marketplace area is my downfall, though I was able to keep myself reined in.

So glad to share pics! It's definitely a creative space- did a bunch of writing this morning. I have too many stories going on in my head right now! :P
