At long last, the 4th George/Remus story

Thanks to a beta by [livejournal.com profile] cim_halfling, and many enthusiastic comments by [livejournal.com profile] eldritchhobbit and [livejournal.com profile] snottygrrl along the way, here is the fourth George/Remus that ultimately starts with Together, Alone, but the pairing begins with Cartography of Fire. There's a fair amount of angst in this one, complete with George's usual potty mouth, some (hopefully) hot sex, and war remembrances. Oh, and another Weasley tragedy.

Feedback is, of course, always welcome. It's too large to post it here as it's 37 pages, so I'll provide the link to its location at my website and skyehawke. :P As with the others in this particular trajectory, it is slash and has an NC-17 rating.

This Snape's for you, my dear.

Best. Giftfic. Ever. Written. ((((HUGS))))

I simply cannot thank you enough. I'm all teary-eyed and humbled by this remarkable story. No have words. :) Your writing really is a revelation.

And I trust there's more about Xavier's future to come?!? ::wink::

Beautiful. Thank you.

More soon. The cold turned into an upper respiratory infection and double ear infections, so I now have three prescriptions. Now for the fun of mixing them with different holiday faire to see the results. :) Just kidding. Sort of. ;) I'm sending love and hugs - and HUGE THANKS for mentioning me in this incredible work - and more love and more hugs. :)

(((hugs))) Thank you! :)

PS. I realize that should've read "holiday fare," not "faire" - guess my medicated mind thought "faire" the more festive spelling. :)

"faire" is definitely more festive! You just need to take hot soaks, get lots of rest, and get on the mend.

(((massive hugs)))

Awwww.... *blush* You're too kind. If I were a better person I'd have made more progress on your 'Lupin and Arthur are trapped' story, but alas, to no avail. But I'm so glad that you enjoyed how it turned out, especially since I remember calling you about the very idea of it and "Never Break the Chain" back in September!! This one took a while.

I am SO SORRY to hear about your illnesses! That's absolutely no good at all. I can't believe that you're having to take so many prescriptions at once, but hopefully they will knock out whatever you have ASAP so you can enjoy the holidays. (you'll have to remind me if you and L. are traveling or not. K. and I still haven't discussed it, so I assume we're staying)

Massive love back to you. Were it not for your enthusiasm, I wouldn't have believed in myself as a writer. Truly.

Glorious! Absolutely glorious! The inclusion of Snape into the mix makes it even better. Your writing always hooks me and pulls me in, but I was especially drawn by that scene at the very beginning in the graveyard--the way you gently mention certain markers. Oh, but the flashbacks/memories with McLeod and Snape were the best. Brilliant! *claps hands over face in astonishment*

Kristi is my friend, la la la
She's my friend she's oh-so brilliant
So I'm singing a song that doesn't rhyme
La la la...

:-)

*blushes*

Thank you ever so much. Snape always makes things... well, if not "better," at least he adds a very particular and fun-to-write dynamic to the story. And I know of [livejournal.com profile] eldritchhobbit's fondness for our hawk-nosed, bleakly-living potions master. Whether dead or no. ;)

I'm so glad you liked the war flashbacks! Tying in Snape so I could re-reference Red Is For Remorse (http://www.thrihyrne.net/RedIsForRemorse.html) was great fun, and the idea of George having discovered his 'tendencies' during the war was set in place from the beginning.

I am so gratified that you enjoyed it. I don't feel brilliant, especially compared to as many gifts of skill that you possess (and you're writing original fiction, too, not just R/S hotness though I did love it). But I am very pleased you liked it. And my song is great. :)
