Wraeththu-centric beta?

Dear flist: I've finished a Wraeththu fic, set in early era Freygard. It's a sequel to one to appear in Storm's compilation, but it's a stand-alone with essentially all OCs. It does reference the first story, but I fill in the gaps so a reader gets the idea of what happened prior to this. Word count is 6090, so not all that long. Mostly plotty and character development. Does anyharone have some time to beta it before I post? I'd be grateful! Just let me know and I'll email it to you.

I am swamped today and possibly tomorrow--trying to finish a complicated character biography for the SWG (Celebrimbor--it has references to Dwarves in it by the way). It's due to be published tomorrow if all goes well, but I wouldn't want to take on a new project until after tomorrow. Rushing to finish this afternoon and then have to be available for possible revisions/corrections. (I do this every month! I never finish anything before the absolute last minute.) So if no one else is able to read it before then, check back with me on Wednesday.

I just got your email and replied! I am so excited!

Fair enough! I don't have any takers right now, and I don't mind waiting. I feel badly enough having posted two Slave Breakers stories that were self-beta'ed, but nobody seems to have caught anything. I'll look forward to your Celebrimbor bio! I had fun thinking about him for the Silmfic I wrote for you. In fact, while I have a short Gimlific to write today or tomorrow, I'm thinking that I'll do some research myself and get back into Dwarvish mindspace to write something set in that same time period as the story I wrote for you, about the Dwarves who met Celebrimbor and were trading with the Elves at that time.

I'm so thrilled that I'm (hope hope) going to get to meet you in person! What a treat! :D

No kidding! I already feel like I really know you, but seeing someone face-to-face really makes the puzzle pieces fall into place, doesn't it?

The Celebrimbor bio should be of interest to you. Unfortunately, I won't be filling in a lot of detail on the Dwarves (having to do the reading though, so we can talk more about that!)--more generalizations about the similarities between the Dwarves and the Noldor.

I feel like I know you, too! Especially after the emails and that one long phone call. I'll definitely look forward to talking with you about your bio. You may be the impetus for me writing a new, longer Dwarf-centric story! I could compete in the MEFAs again, lol.
