Plugging luggage

So I'm selling an Austin Powers-worthy set of orange Samsonite luggage on Etsy. I guess I'm pimping it as I'm running out time here to sell stuff that I can't really take with me as I'm flying and shipping things to Portland. Since I count on you all for advice, tell me honestly: perhaps I'm asking too much for the set? I can put it on sale and lower the price. I just want somebody who'll love it to be able to enjoy it. But yeah, I could use some cash to have upon arrival. If nothing else, you can enjoy the photos of what is a truly vibrant and fun luggage set. :) Thanks for the input!

I'd totally bite only I already have the same set in cream!

Oh, man! Well, nice to know that someone else appreciates it. :D

I got the same set, plus a briefcase, for high school graduation in 1967, only it was a vibrant turquoise. I still have it, but yours is in much better shape than mine. I really need to just remove the lining and redo it entirely. The outside is still in great shape, with just a few minor scuffs. They really were well made luggage pieces.

I haven't used them for at least 10 years though, as my senior citizen body and joints much appreciates having good wheeled cases these days.

Small world! My mom had that set in turquoise, too! I think it's still up in the attic.

Well, I did take the largest case with me on my last trip to Scotland and will never forget just how long the Royal Mile in Edinburgh felt when I got off at a bus stop too early and had to walk it, carrying it on one side and a huge duffel bag on the other. My legs and knees were black and blue the entire trip from the suitcase banging on them!

I need a good wheeled case, myself. ;)

I think it's a lovely set, but I can only do the wheeled carryons. I am sure someone will love it, though.

Well, I hope so. I tried to buy some 'premiere' time on Etsy but they don't have anything between now and Oct. 1st, so I guess I'll try lowering the price and see what happens. Thanks for the positive vibes!

I love them! And so easy to spot on the carousel! LOL I, too have new luggage but I'm sure someone will be interested!

Yeah, they're gorgeous! I may see if I can find a vintage consignment place that I can sell them to and let them sell them for whatever price they want. I'd just like to make something! ;)
