Two pics to share

I came across a couple of fun pictures from this year's commencement at my alma mater that I thought I'd share. There's one with two lovely redheaded men who are watching the event, and another who put a Hogwarts crest big and bold on his academic gown. Love that!

Nice pictures of the campus. Is that the location you had in mind as a model for Castlegar in Maelstrom and Mage?

I love the Hogwart's crest on the guy's robe.

My alma mater is Castlegar. :D It's not even the model, that's the exact location. Isn't the crest fabulous?? In my day we didn't have buttons or anything on our gowns except the back, where people embroidered their initials and the year they graduated. They still do that, but I love how the gowns are personalized now.

My alma mater is Castlegar.

It is perfect in the novel. You have great taste. We all have so many experiences, but choosing among them is what makes a story terrific or not.

That's an awesome campus. And I love Hogwarts boy's smile.

It was an absolutely beautiful place to go to school- I wouldn't mind retiring there if I can't get myself to Nova Scotia, Scotland or Ireland. ;)

Isn't he precious?? I just love the crest.

Ah, Sewanee. I wasted much time chasing a boy there spent many a lovely afternoon there while attending Vandy.

LOL!! Well, I found myself in the spring of my senior year dating a then-sophomore, and moved from Richmond to Nashville and began working at Vanderbilt the next fall. I was up at Sewanee every other weekend for the next two years, still dating said young man. I felt as though I was on the Sewanee 6 year plan and by the end of it was actually a bit sick of the place. But distance has made my heart very fond once again.
