The Secret of Kells

I'm watching The Secret of Kells, and it's such a magical, lyrical experience that I don't want it to be over! I'm watching it in sections because I can only have a first viewing once. It's one of those kinds of experiences. I think it may be how I felt the first time I watched The Secret of Roan Inish.

I've added it to my Netflix queue! I looked it up on IMDB, and only then did I see that it's currently playing at theaters here. Perhaps I'll see if snottygrrl wants to go...

I also noticed that it's listed as being a French/Irish/Belgian movie, but the languages that it's available in are only French, Irish and English! Not in Belgian! That just seems wrong.

Definitely worth watching. I cried. That doesn't happen all that often, and granted, I'd really built up the story while watching, but it's great.

Hey- by the way, I don't know whether or not you've seen this, but Aruna_Now made you a birthday sims picture (http://aruna-now.livejournal.com/11394.html). Just wanted to give you a heads up!

All of these choir practices are being rough on my voice, but definitely over the weekend— or maybe I'll treat myself to some time just out and about tomorrow afternoon (when my adopted brother is slated to have a conversation with my stepdad about budgets) and call you then? I'll give it a go. ♥
