Thevina recognition week, continued
I'm really, really stunned. Apparently the self-confidence writing gods are seeking me out this week. I was doing a search on my pseudonym and fic and recs (as one does when feeling that your current writing is uninspired, but it used to be pretty good) and discovered that OMG a genfic gapfiller I wrote in December of '05 was recorded and then discussed in a Snapecast roundtable last fall. No kidding. I wrote Ever More Tightly Bound as a gift fic for
eldritchhobbit, and the Snapecasters featured it last fall. It falls at 1:17:49 in the podcast. I've never heard anything of mine read dramatically, and I tried to listen without editing it as it went along. ;) What was especially great about the roundtable discussion is that through the first 3/4 of the discussion, they thought I'd written it as an AU version of a scene in DH. Towards the end, one of the participants noticed the date of my story and that I'd written it two years before DH. So I'd actually pre-written a scene that JKR did include in DH. They preferred my version. ;)
So... I feel like a superstar. Yay. :D

HA. That is great! :-) I can't believe they didn't let you know they were going to talk about your story! You could've been squeeing and happy about this last fall!

What a great boost to you to know stuff you wrote so long ago is still being read and discussed.
