Ron/Harry fic rec- "Nor Let Me Die Before I Have Begun to Live"

I mentioned that I'd been beta'ing a longish, adult H/R for my friend [livejournal.com profile] callumjames, and how excited I was for the H/R community to have another new writer in the ranks, especially one whose writing I admire and find startlingly visceral at times. Not to mention erotic, and saturated with gorgeous imagery; it's plotty, and draws on and elaborates on aspects of HP canon I'd overlooked that really make the story come alive.

He's posted it!!

Go here for part one; it's on the long side and posted in three parts. It is adult, and he does have a few warnings, so do glance at them. There's nothing overly troubling to me, but we each have our levels of comfort. Not to give any of it away, but while there is much angst, there is redemption to be found in the story as well.

Shoo! Go read, and let him know your thoughts!

Wonderful! You won't be disappointed. Yummy icon, too. :)

I just read the first few paragraphs and I'm already in awe - AWE - of his writing. *goes back*

Auntee, your icon looks like it's from an Equus pic I haven't seen yet (which I thought impossible)! Any chance you could give me a hint of where it comes from? Thanks!

If my memory serves me correctly, (I didn't make the icon), I think it was from the batch of pictures that were from the day that they let the press in during dress rehearsals.

Thanks much! Looks like I need to do more searching. I've never seen any of those one, to my knowledge.

His writing style is quite distinctive; I've gotten to know it pretty well in recent months, and I'm in awe as well. Thanks for welcoming him into our fanfic world!

Though I've not read it yet, it is on my list for when I have time for 30,000 words! LOL

And, as a good little Redbreast, I'm sure you have encouraged [livejournal.com profile] callumjames to join us at the Order of the Robin. Right? Right?? Never hurts to have a few more good men among our ranks, especially since he sounds a wonderful author!

Thanks for linking to this story. I'm looking forward to it.

I haven't yet… wanted to get his fic out in front of people first before all of the other insanity fun we have in other formats. He is a tremendous author; his imagery makes me weak in the knees. And other things. ;)

Wow...amazing doesn't seem to be at all adequate in describing Callum's work...it's frelling mesmerizing!

I'm with Auntee Mame...I'm in awe...and a bit envious!

Thanks for the heads up...I've read part one, two more to go!

Woot!

I'm with Auntee Mame...I'm in awe...and a bit envious!

Evidently we should build a boat, as there are at least three of us in the envious category. ;) Hope you enjoy it! There is a lot of angst and dark stuff, so I figured you'd really be into his version of dark!psychologically unbalanced!Harry.

Off to write more Deamus... I miss Ron, though. It's so strange to write something without him... oh, wait. D'oh. Hello, he's been in it twice. :headdesk: More Diet Coke.

Thanks for the link sweety! I've got it stashed in my "To Read" Folder. You writers are writing faster than I can read! I'll never catch up I fear, but that is a GOOD thing. I'll never want for fics to read!

I miss you!

*hugs!*

Hey sweetie! I'm so sorry I didn't call yesterday; the evening got away from me. Perhaps you'll be around tonight? Do read his story; it's quite powerful and moving. I don't even know what other new H/R is out there; my Seamus/Dean + Fred is going to be way long but doesn't have enough H/R to keep your interest, so I'm not expecting you to read it, whenever it's done... :sigh: I think I need to get out of the house!!!

Miss you, too.
