Harry doesn't tell them (Fred and George) after he figures it out, does he?

I don't think he does, no. It's possible that the twins might have heard Sirius call Remus "Moony" at Grimmauld Place, but I can't remember for sure right now if that appears in canon. I'll doublecheck later, when I have a chance.
