Oh, if you've not read it, you're in for a treat! I've not actually read it; I've listened to it as a book on tape twice, though thanks to persephone100, I do now have my own copy. Renault's writing is marvelous, and she brings Alexander and that time in history and the world so vividly to life. Highly, highly recommended.
