Enjoyed this chapter. The kelpie taking Ian. The occasional dry humor. Here's some of my fav lines:

blood welled up, dark and potent.

agonies and laments pouring out of him
the syrupy dirge
though he remembered clearly the look of rapture on the Wraeththu's face as Kelp sank down on him, his body greedy for the ouana-lim that had gleamed, copper and garnet.
Untamed, breathing secrets with each mist.
"I'm exhausted."
